The story of the first private medical college in the state, T. D. Medical College, Alappuzha and it's founder Sri. Narayana Venkateshwara Prabhu (1926-2008). Sri N. V. Prabhu was a prominent figure in the social, political and cultural spheres in Alappuzha. He was a journalist by profession and had worked in The Economic Times, The Hindu etc. He was a great friend of many political figures both from right and left wing, and mentor to Sri. A.K. Antony, former defence minister of India. He gave up contesting for elections as the opponent was a great friend of his Sri. T.V. Thomas. Hw also served as Municipal Councillor in Thirumala Ward, in Alleppey. A great man who gave his heart and soul to make a great dream come true.
