I am from SD College Chemistry Division. Worked as a SCIENTIST in National Metallurgical Laboratory, CSIR . To commercialize one of the inventions CSIR Gave 6 years Extra Ordinary Leave . I took VRS after that and started two companies – Essco Furnaces P.Ltd and Chemical & Metallurgical Services in the year 1981.This is in Chennai Essco manufatures Cremation Furnaces and in Thiruvanthapuram ESSCO furnace functions. CMS is an NABL Accredited & ISO certified Lab. I am proud to be an old student of SD College and still remember my Professor, Lecturers
V.C.Soman. Graduated in 1972.1969-1972 batch of English Language and literature . Lead the NCC unit of the college as senior under officer consecutively for two academic years in 1970-71 and 1971-72. Directly recruited as a Sub Inspector of Police in the General Executive Branch of The Kerala Police in 1973.Elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police in 2002. Retired on super annuation in October 2005.
